Introduction

My name is Junnosuke Koizumi. I am a postdoctoral researcher in mathematics at RIKEN iTHEMS in Japan. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2024, under the supervision of Shuji Saito and Shane Kelly. My main interests are in the following areas:

• the interface between homotopy theory and algebraic geometry, especially motives and motivic homotopy theory;
• the interface between geometry and combinatorics, especially discrete geometry, packings and tilings;
• recreational mathematics.
